Kidding

I told you once about gray, like being half-awake, half-asleep

The handsomeness of gray, how it holds a promise
of unuttered meaning lurking behind the flatness, dullness of ash

But then you agreed about what I said,
and how am I supposed to say I was lying?

i was thinking more along the lines as variation from the extremes of black and white (like religion and the law). but now it occurs to me that the limits of perception are tragic all around.

there is sadness here... we should talk...

yes. how indeed?
to really converse
is to put all your heart
into it; all your senses
all your mind.
only problem is...
we converse
with clouded senses
perceiving only what
we want, and leaving
all the intense stuff
alone, unopened,
and unwrapped.

@lof: i wish my poems are more profound, but no, i like my verses dumb and personal. LOL.

@parteeboi: herbs wanted to meet up, and i am always cooped up in my apartment, so i guess that's not such a bad idea.

@gentle:

"... perceiving only what
we want, and leaving
all the intense stuff
alone, unopened,
and unwrapped."

i always thought intense stuff are always meant to be unopened, unwrapped.

intensity
begets intensity;
to tense
and tremble
in the presence
of intense stuff
makes the heart embark
on splendid journeys
intense and wonderful

wehehe. kinda liking this sing-song exchange. :)

diyentel,

"There is so much of gratitude or vanity in almost every attachment, that it is not safe to leave any to itself. We can all begin freely-- a slight preference is natural enough; but there are very few of us who have heart enough to be really in love without encouragement."

Hmmm.

Gray is dull and unattractive but intriguing.

I think I know what you're talking about =)

I love gray, so minimalistic. And beautiful/handsome. Parang ako. =D

grey is nice but like you said, there's beauty in black and white. despite that, everyone knows that life in general is not monochromatic. sometimes things are hot hot red, freezing blue and sometimes, there is darkness.

@andy: it seems gray is a popular fashion hue. very comfortable. in ways more than one. :)

@apol: of course you do, dear. hehe.

@gentle: let me get back to you. will purge my stash of quotes for a decent reply. hehe.

@cb: gray is just a color. i think i could do something about it. :)
